Have you been betrayed by your bank credit card?
If you ever want to see how angry consumers are, go to Twitter and do a search for key words “Citibank Card”, “Chase Credit Card” or “Bank of America Card”.
Bank of America Cardholders:
- Return of the annual fee ranging from $29-$99 which Bank of America is “claiming” affecting less than 1% of cardholders.
Citigroup/Citibank:
- Rate increases up to 29.99% variable when you have played by the rules. Prime + up to 26.74% (translates to 29.99%).
- Return of the annual fee of $30-$90 if you spend less than $2,400 per year.
- If you carried a Shell, Citgo, Exxon/Mobil or Phillips 66/Conoco Card, you may have found your gas card suddenly shut down in October 2009 without fair advance warning.
Chase:
- Reduction in credit line?
- Increase of minimum payment to 5% from the previous 2%-3%?
- New CHASE Freedom Visa has variable rate of Prime PLUS 8.99% 17.99%. Default rate prime 26.99%.
